Boon Lay Fried Carrot Cake

Taste that has stamped in my mind since I was a kid, locked my heart that I always remember and will never forget was my childhood days the "Boon Lay Fried Carrot Cake".

The white-version fried carrot cake tasted more to the salty side.

I specially loved the black more, they sure have the good amount of seasoned turnips and fried-wok fragrant was strongly implemented which gives wonders to your taste buds.

The black-version doesn't look flattering but highly recommended that if you "takeaway", it will taste even better. Remember the days I always takeaway at least 10 packets home because now I am staying further and I got less chance to visit Boon Lay.

If you like more of a seafoodie taste, try it at night which usually the owner's daughter take over.

If you like more wok-flavor visit in the morning. Owner was the famous Char Kway from Jurong 13th Mile since 1956.
