Season's Cafe KSL City Mall

Whenever I see Season's Cafe at Malaysia it reminds me of my childhood, which is similar to Singapore's Swensen's. I spent my childhood just like other kids around my generation at Swensen's and it was some where my parents will bring me to have western food.

Season's Cafe uses Swensen's Ice cream! Which was my favorite childhood ice cream and one of them was Merri Mint (Peppermint ice cream covered with hot fudge).

The Signature Honey Glazed Wings was recommended by the staff and it was simply delicious and addictive.

You got to try the Chili Crab Pasta!! The sauce was superbly tasty better than so many Chili Crab Pastas I tried in Singapore, together with a crispy & inside "juicylicious" Soft Shell Crab.

I eat a lot and taking pictures together with food as my companion will never cease. Season's Cafe is a great place to bring back childhood memories & never be surprised if you see any fellow Singaporeans dining beside you. Best place for family and celebrating birthday for your children.

Mitzo Dim Sum Brunch Buffet


Weekend brunch who doesn't adore? Head down with your family to Mitzo for a youthful Dim Sum Brunch Buffet experience, they have also a playroom to keep the children entertained. Well not recommend if you are having a date and prefers a quieter place to have brunch, it will be a bit noisy when the children are playing at the playroom.


Colorful magical interior especially when the sun light shines in.


Each diner can choose 1 serving of choice of  Bamboo Clam, Live Lobster and Abalone Dish.

The Spicy Chili Lobster served with Bun was flavorful and the Live Lobster was very fresh. You might want to avoid the Deep-Fried Lobster coated with Truffles Peanut Sauce because the sauce doesn't match well, I am a truffle lover and not everything with truffle will taste good.

I regretted ordering all their truffle dishes especially their Braised Truffles Udon tasted so bad, using low-priced quality udon and serving it too huge portion, skip all their truffle dishes and save your tummy for others.


Siew Mai (Royal Shrimp Dumpling) was really good and by far one of the best Siew Mai I have ever tasted.


You got to save more tummy for Mitzo Special Barbequed Pork, they were crispy on the outside, sweet & savoury.

Braised congee with Scallops took too long to arrive, I need to notify the staff 3 times and it came last after finishing all the Dim Sums.


Desserts were very refreshing and the highlight was the Hokkaido Milk Cheese Tart, you have to wait till the tarts are freshly baked out from the oven. Wanted to have one more Cheese tart but it was not served..

Not a bad place to have Dim Sum but the kitchen food preparations speed have to be improved, some dishes were really too slow to be served. I suggest you order more varieties in the beginning.


I will only come back for the Siew Mai, Mitzo Special Barbequed Pork & Hokkaido Milk Cheese Tarts, Stir-fried Beef Cube in Black Pepper Sauce again and the staffs were also very friendly to attend you. Ask for a table further away from the Kids Playroom if you are not bringing any kids, order the right choice of food from the menu with 40 selections of dim sum.

Weighing the good are lesser than the bad so for the price-wise honestly, not worth the food and the pretty ambiance does not match the kids playroom that they create too much noise.

Hot Spot Cafe Restaurant Tomyum Fish Soup


The never tiring "Northern Thai Tom Yum Fish Soup" from Hot Spot Cafe Restaurant which I always crave for. Personally, my favorite choice of noodles were the "Mee Hoon Kuey"(Hand-made torn spoon-sized noodle). Today I tried the "Ban-Mian"(Flat/Broad-like noodle) it was not as satisfying as my "Mee Hoon Kuey" but still taste delicious, there are various types of noodles you can choose of and rice as well.

I crave for their very fresh generous thick slices of Batang fish together with the addicting Tom Yum Soup base that awakes you from the dream-land. It's slightly spicy, has great punches of sourness and warms up your taste buds heartily.


If you prefer something light you can always go for their normal Fish Soup base which is more bland compared to the Tom Yum base.

Insanely, this is the spot for me to visit straight after my gym session, excuse and be mentally prepared for the impolite unfriendly staffs. Do not be surprised if you're unable to have their Tomyum Fish Soup because it will end around afternoon 3pm.

Go early, they start operating at 10.30am and avoid lunch-timing crowds.

Hai Tien Lo Weekday Dim Sum Buffet


The luxurious weekday dim sum ala carte buffet at Hai Tien Lo, Pan Pacific Hotel Singapore may take you away for a break. The Dim Sums are all handcrafted and each guest will also enjoy a complimentary serving of Chilled Homemade Beancurd with Bird's Nest.


The interior of Hai Tien Lo was very unforgettable especially with the view of the entire Hotel interior. Sitting at my very well angled table, looking at the capsuled transparent lift going up and down was so satisfying.


The steamed dim sums were good but not great, which I mean the skin of the dumplings were made thicker than usual.


The fried food was amazing at Hai Tien Lo, which adds up points for the dim sum buffet.


The Hai Tien Lo's Century Egg with Pork Shoulder Porridge was the best century egg with pork porridge I had in my life. The pork shoulder meat was so chewy and marinated just right.

The Double-boiled Grouper fish fillet and Bean curd in Supreme Chicken Stock was so flavorful, having the huge bite of the Grouper fish fillet jingles the bell of freshness.


The wok skill of the chef was phenomenal, by tasting the fried food totally just make sense. Wok-fried Pork Shoulder and Prawns in Chef's Signature Homemade XO Chili Sauce was a marvellous mix to be wok-fried. Crispiness of the deep fried thin Enoki Mushrooms, chewiness of the pork shoulders and the crunchiness of the veges makes your mouth so much going on, worth it.

The Stir-fried Sliced Grouper Fish with Preserved Vegetables and Ginger Spring Onion was just only fish but I am fine with it.


Now moving on to the Pan-fried Rice Flour Rolls with Dried Scallops in Chef's Signature Homemade XO Chili Sauce, the sauce... The sauce was all about it.

Fragrant Fried Carrot Cake in Chef's Signature Homemade XO Chili Sauce, with some beansprouts and eggs miracally take you a moment of char kuay tiao wok-fried taste. It was deliciously simple and mind blowing.


Fried dim sums were placed like a fried-food platter, try all of them except spring rolls. Spring rolls were just too plain..


Recommended desserts are the Chilled White Fungus with Osmanthus and Maltose & Chilled Avocado Sago Cream with Longan.


Lastly, the Chilled Homemade Bean curd with Bird's Nest will be the complimentary dessert for each guest.

I will definitely come back again for their fried dim sums and the exceptional service they provide.

**FYI, the dessert's flower decoration I added myself borrowed from previous dishes served so don't be surprised when you get a "plain non-decorated dessert".

De'Lava the dessert lab Cheese Tart KSL City Mall

Cheese Tart Hype going on at KSL City mall, Johor Bahru, Malaysia! De'Lava's Musang King Durian Cheese Tart caught my eye just like first love lightening strikes, followed by the Tiramisu Cheese Tart and the Classic Cheese Tart.

The best was the Musang King Durian Cheese Tart, it just matches heavenly with the cheese drama going on. I was also told to wait 10mins for the Musang King Durian Cheese Tart to be baked out from the oven, guess the heat just thumbs every finger up.

The Classic Cheese Tart was just alright, love how the cheese melting effect flowing out while you crack open into half. Highly Recommend the Musang King Durian Cheese Tart but not the Tiramisu, because coffee just couldn't mix well with the cream cheese. If you like more watery consistency you might like their Cheese Tart.

D'Laksa KSL City Mall

The Famous Superb Asam Laksa with good chunks of boneless margaret fish and fresh veges warms you up heartily. The slurpy thick rice noodles just makes you unstoppable pairing perfectly with the Asam Laksa soup. D'Laksa's Asam Laksa will definitely be my first must eat food list whenever I visit Malaysia, Johor Bahru's KSL City Mall.

Definitely not missing out tasty fishballs to enjoy together with a bowl of Asam Laksa. If you want to reach out D'Laksa in Singapore they have also opened a branch at Hougang Mall.

Patisserie G Millenia Walk


Patisserie G so many people and food bloggers rave so much about it, and I always missed this spot. As a dessert lover I really do have very high expectations on this one.


Small hot chocolate was pretty alright and my Babyccino(Hot Milk) was just hot milk with foam.


Breakfast Platter SG$16.90 comes with 2 eggs, pork and english sausages, streaky bacon, brioche toast, butter & jam. The breakfast platter was totally not worth it, I have to rearrange the plating to make the plate look more appealing and the sausage was bad...

Salted Egg york Fish Burger SG$16.90, battered fish, salted egg york sauce, greens and cocoa bun. It was alright because of the salted egg york sauce, personally I prefer the sauce with chicken more than fish.

Brunch was a bit disappointing and they forgot our cutlery...

Overall the Tropical was our favorite among all, mango just goes well with coconut. It was not what I expected after tasting the cakes, and it was a bit pricey for self-service concept(vibrating machine to collect food yourself). The service was not very good may be lack of staffs, been seeing plates lying around not cleared and the place was not very packed. Sadly to reveal it will be my once and the last time.

Nike Free TR7 AMP

Pink Nike Sneakers just irresistible, the Nike Free TR7 AMP training shoes were unnoticeable on the display but looks very flattering when someone is wearing it. Temptation straightaway hits my attention and strikes the sudden purchase.

Low light and flash light differences.

The Nike heat flamed me 4 pairs of shoes over these 2 months...
