[CLOSED] Chiso Zanmai Japanese Buffet

I actually ate this Buffet last month. It has quite a nice ambiance and the place is pretty huge, great for friends/family gatherings or even work colleagues.  :)

I love Buffet so do lots of Singaporeans and everyone around the world. ^^
My favorite part of all Buffets is, I get to try lots of different food and enjoy the time chatting with friends~

Opening Hours
Mon–Sun: 12pm–3pm, 6pm–11pm

I remembered there was actually an escalator and a bigger entrance to proceed, but when I was there some parts of the places are closed for renovation. It's still a new Restaurant as Business was opened during February 2012.

As I walked in first thing I saw was the dessert Bar Station~ Yippy =X

There's an Ice Cream Machine beside, these are the toppings.

Do not try the Mochi... You gonna regret and then don't feel like eating any food~ They should change recipe or a Mochi Supplier... The skin was so hard, and the taste was very artificial.

Pudding, Fruits and some Jelly Desserts in the small glasses.

Udon Claypot Soup? There's a torch beside so you will need to lid up yourself~ Very Heavy~~ I prefer Paper Pot as it's easier to heat up and not so heavy~ =D

The Sushi Bar Section~

The Appetizer Section~

The Teppan Section~

The Japanese Traditional Section, there are steamed dishes like Glutinous Rice, Fried Food Braised Eggplant etc~

Chawanmushi (Japanese Steamed Egg), Steamed Eel Glutinous Rice & Steamed Salmon Glutinous Rice.

Deep Fried Skewer Vegetables, Deep Fried Chicken "Karaage", Grilled Mackerel with Light Soya Sauce beside there's also Plain Rice, Garlic Fried Rice, in the Rice Cooker and Miso Soup.

The restaurant is very spacious and nice view outside which you can see Singapore River.

Finally, the food that I took. =D

Surprisingly, the dessert-like tofu was the best for my tastings!! Sweet Corn or Green Tea. The top garnish I decorated myself as I always like to do that when the food is too plain before I start taking pictures~

The cheese cakes taste pretty nice. :)

The Jellies~ I only like the cocktail Jelly and the pudding. :)

The Self Service Ice Cream Top yourself with the Toppings. :)

How's the food and the Price?
Overall it is ok, SG$19.90++ (Around SG$25 include additional SG$1.90 Free Flow, after service charge and plus Gst).

Will I be back again?
Yes why not, the place is pretty nice and price is consider quite cheap if you go for the weekdays is only SG$14.90++!! I will consider the Dinner because there will be more dishes like Sashimi and I suppose better choices of Sushi.

How was the Service there?
The staffs were fast once you finished up a plate by clearing it for you.

Improvement done?
I think every customers have very different taste and likings, personally I think the desserts can improve more, and less Glutinous Rice concept...

Will I Recommend to friends?
Yes I will because of the price and the place. If you want better seafood buffet then try look for others =X

To me it's worth it because if you want good and fresh Seafood Buffets they surely cost more than $30~$70++.

Do Customers need to book Reservations?
Book always if you have more than 4-6 people.

  8. Hoooomygosh. @_@ I almost literally started to drool. Those pictures. Teh food. Om nom nom~.

Anyway, that chawanmushi looks delicious. All in all, the whole desert selection is HUGE. (And amazing-looking.)

Typically? I tend to judge a buffet by its vegetable and dessert options. (I don't like meat very much. Both seem to have a wide and varied range at Chiso Zanmai.

I LOVE your restaurant reviews! They're very thorough and well-written. Also? You take great photos.
